The mechatronic reversing system replaces the traditional rotary system. There are three types of reversing systems: with the Wiper Compact Module, one wiper arm is powered directly while the second arm is moved via simple kinematics directly connected to the drive. With the Wiper Compact Kit, the connecting tube is dispensed with in addition, which reduces the weight even further.
The Wiper Twin Kit comprises two separate drives which are not connected using either a connection link or a tube. Instead, the kit’s drives communicate directly with each other to prevent the wipers from colliding. The Wiper Twin Kit significantly reduces the box volume and means that the installation space freed up between the drives can be used for other vehicle components.
