Operation principle of the camera heads

With the new camera heads Bosch offers a flexible system for the enviroment perception. With a 3-megapixel and an 8-megapixel version and scalable up to 12 megapixels for Level 4 applications, the camera heads are at the cutting edge of image sensor technology.

Camera heads are an integral part of centralized E/E architectures. The computing power is no longer located inside of the camera itself, but is offloaded to a central vehicle computer such as the ADAS integration platform .

The 8-megapixel front- and rear-facing camera has a narrow viewing angle and a broad opening angle.
