Bike-to-vehicle communication (B2V)

Bike-to-vehicle communication

Bosch increases the riding safety by realizing connectivity systems such as B2V (bike-to-vehicle) communication. With the aid of B2V (bike-to-vehicle) communication, vehicles exchange information regarding vehicle type, speed, acceleration, position and direction of travel.

If the system detects an hazardous situation, then it alerts the vehicle driver with warnings specifically tailored for each rider and driver. This ensures that all participants are informed and can react accordingly, even in the critical situations.

Breakdown call (bCall)

By pressing the bCall button, the service center will be contacted. The service center contacts a garage or towing service and provides information on the current status of the vehicle.

Information call (iCall)

By pressing the iCall button, the service center will be contacted. The agency books the requested service and gives the rider the necessary feedback. The rider is navigated to the desired location.

Stolen vehicle tracking

When the vehicle is removed from its parking spot, a signal will be transmitted to the service center. The service center contacts the rider. In the event of theft, the service center can determine the vehicle's current position and give these information to the police.
