Modular and integrated braking systems

The braking system is one of the most important pieces of safety equipment in a vehicle. But the high-performance components of the braking system are capable of even more: in hybrid and electric vehicles, they ensure recuperation of braking energy so that emissions are reduced and additional range is gained by braking. In automated vehicles, the driver temporarily or permanently gives responsibility to the system. In this case, the safe function of the braking system is enabled by dual-design systems, also known as redundancy.
