Function of the rotor position sensor
With the rotor position sensor, an accurate determination of the rotor position is possible. The compact and robust design enables easy and cost-effective mounting.
Thanks to its compact design, the rotor position sensor can be easily positioned and attached to the end of the rotor shaft.
The sensor is based on the high-precision and magnetoresistance measuring principle (TMR). An encoder magnet matching the sensor generates a rotating magnetic field. This is detected by the sensor element and output as an analog sine and cosine signal within a 0°-360° measurement range. The output signal is processed in the inverter of the electronic motor, and from this the rotor position is determined.
The true power-on function ensures that the sensor always provides the correct rotor position as soon as the supply voltage is applied.
